Restless Humankind

The sea of humankind is restless, and it stirs up muck and mire

Slinging ugly everywhere, it never seems to tire

In the seas, its hands are pain and death
Negligently Choking out humankind’s last breath

Greed and lust are humankind’s trait
Pushing meek ones out the gate

Their independent they claim no master
Rushing to their end, faster, faster

Taking captives as they go
Innocent victims pulled into the flow

The sea keeps rushing, rushing past
The restless sea won’t triumph. It won’t last

Calmer waters are up ahead
Restless humankind put to bed

God’s Mighty hands from heaven will reach
Saving meeks ones he can teach

River of life
flowing, flowing

Happy people,
Glowing, glowing

Restless seas soon forever gone
Hold on God’s boat will soon be along
