Color Contentment

There is contentment in colors absorbed by my eyes
The brilliance of the different blues in the sky-high

The purple hues bouncing from the backdrop of the mountains
Frothy white that whirls and swirls from a spouting water fountain

Yellow daisy’s in the open field growing by the gate
The feeling of calm comes over me as the flowers my eyes sedate

The brown cows, as they glean in the meadow green
Such a beautiful sight all the colors in our world see

Mrs. Robin and her babies with her crested orange chest
Spring brings my eyes contented colors. I like this season best

The world around us is alive with color; it’s there everywhere
You hold the keys of contentment, so open eyes wide and stare

Before your eyes grow dim and your color palette disappears
Look at the colors around you now, to remember in later years
