Have you ever noticed or wondered why
you rarely ever saw your mother cry
I can’t recall but one time I saw tears
in all my life throughout the years
that was the day her daddy died
it’s the only time I saw mother cried
she carried her tears deep inside
I always thought it was just her pride
but now that I am a mother I understand why
A mother rarely lets her children see her cry
She’s strong for them so they can see
Just how hard at times life can be
she can’t break down at every turn
there are too many trials in life to be learned
The lack of tears on a mother’s face
Shows what value on her children shes placed
The tears get stored up in her heart for you
You’ll learn this when you become a mother too
