A Girl and a Horse

A girl and her horse is a precious thing

riding and galloping the pleasure the horse brings

Nothing is like The feel of a horse galloping across a green field

He’s 1200 pounds of muscle she can control, and he yields

Her reigns to direct the path he goes

A natural rhythm with her body flows

He’s powerful and independent but gentle as a lamb

You love him and care for him; he eats from your hand

He may prance and snort; he’s just letting off steam

When you were a young girl, your horse was everything

You couldn’t resist his big brown eyes

The way his mane fell over to one side

He gave you a sense of pleasure and pride

You sensed a belonging you felt deep inside

A girl and her horse and the strong bond they make

Just a girl and her horse she aptly named Jake
