Whispering Winds

Whispering winds unseen
Flowing shadows of green

Limbs gently swaying
Voices are saying

The leaves days numbered
Soon, Branches unencumbered

Green will turn to bright firey hues
Yellows, reds, and oranges against a sky blue

The whispering winds won’t last
Winter will make new shadows cast

I’ll sit for the whispering show
The actors I intimately know

I capture their dance
Wrapped up in the romance

I will mourn them when they go
