It’s a fantastic thing to watch
a flock of geese grazing as they walk
As heads reach down to the earth
you stop to consider their worth
They are noisy at times as they fly
Its a command for the others
they aren’t saying hi
They love roaming pastures and
swimming in ponds
They fly thousands of miles and beyond
I find them fascinating to watch
The flight of their V formation
no other bird can match
The geese work together all-day
organized in a simple, unique way
although they’re not my favorite
It’s a moment, so I’ll savor it,
I pull out my camera anyway
