Watching Flowers

I spied the flowers from the road
What caught my eye was the gold

Yellow sunshine in a field
In their centers, chocolate filled

Black-eyed Susan is their name
Attracting Butterflies their claim to fame

It’s the simple things in life I find
That makes me settled in my mind

The fields alive with gold Today
When the wind blows, and they sway

The flower has the most incredible power
They can warm your heart in your darkest hour

We need the flowers when we sigh
To ease the pain when life makes us cry

Look to the treasure God put in the field
You’ll find comfort will be your yield
