Waiting to watch Mama Waltz again
Sitting here waiting with all her friends
Mama’s last waltz took her so far away
But Mama will waltz back soon on another day
Under the gazebo erected just for her
There she patiently waits for her mister
Together they will dance until their hearts are content
Out of the sun underneath a shady tent
I will sit close by and listen to her voice
As she sings to Daddy, and he joins in on the chorus
My mama was promised this waltz by someone who cared
Enough to make a sacrifice and to her he shared

With a heart so overjoyed and thankful that I’ll win
