Treetop Dance

There’s a dance in the tops of the trees
Limbs Moving with a sudden stiff breeze
Swinging and swaying
Curtsying as if praying
Her trunk keeps her upright
But leaves will soon take flight
Here and there
Now everywhere
As Her dance becomes frantic
Her leaves start to panic
Parting company in a few days
Each will go their own separate way
The leaves that once were Oaks friend
Now, leave her barren in the end
Spring and summer now are gone
Leaving Oak to stand and cry alone
Oak stands aright because she is no quitter
The snow falls Oak sparkles, and she glitters
There’s a dance in the tops of the trees
Limbs Moving with a sudden stiff breeze
