The treetops are alive with singing up high
The Gathering Blackbird’s readying to fly
The branches shake rapidly about
Heavy with blackbirds in sync, a shout
They are singing in unison now
Some scatter a shadow; oh wow
Flapping wings quickly flow
Putting on a grand Ariel show
You can tell when predators about
It’s perfectly still, then a shrill shout
The show won’t last long
