The Gentle Breeze
I awoke to a calmness outside today
It seemed the whole world had quietly slipped away
Only nature around me to view
Taking in the sight of the morning dew
Heard only the chattering of scattering birds
A croak now and then of a tree frog was heard
Breeze gently flowing through mimosa leaves
Gently swaying back and forth in the gentle breeze
All the brilliant colors that I can see
Stir up something that thrills and delights me
This nature all around me stimulates my brain
Causes my heart to skip a sad refrain
If you will always look for the good
The ugly disappears just as it should
The bad will always fade to the background
When you look at the beauty displayed all around
