Sometimes a Tear Falls

Tear’s free-falling down my face

I try to dry them as my heart races

I need the sunshine through my window

so dark clouds can quietly, please go

a blanket of sadness enwraps me today

All of life’s pleasures are losing their way

I’ll find them again another day

when this sadness floats away

I’ll look ahead I’ll try to be strong

I know my God well soon right the wrong

Hang on brain don’t let my heart

Take away all reason that I fall apart

I’ll cry for a while as the river begins again

but I’ll trust in my God to bring sad tears to an end

On that day when you look but will not see

struggling mankind and sadness will not be

so hang on tight and put up a good fight

after I’m done I’ll quit crying for the night
