The memories from her earlier days
Proudly cover and displays
A beautiful quilt she had hand sewn
From scraps of dresses we had owned
The squares uniquely put in place
Her mind a whirl her hands a race
Borders, layers and a cornerstone
The most prized possession I would own
A quilters gift is made with love
The talent coming from above
Ive long since placed it in a chest
For future beds that will be blessed
I think of my sister when I behold
My quilt more precious than fine gold
