Dark clouds pass by and block the sun
Causing difficult days for everyone
Never feel hopeless or give in to complaining
Disturbing times can be compassion training
I’ll say this: Take it for what it is worth
For a silver lining, you need to search
Under the cloud with the silver lining
We find relief from grumbling and whining
Try to find the good side of a bad event
Perhaps the reason is it was heaven-sent
The sun will come out at the edge of every dark cloud
You’ll find that the silver lining is there to be found
