Replay

If I could push replay
The memory to pull up today

It was a sunny day in July
A scattering of birds in the blue sky

A lazy day in summers end
With my dog mustache, a faithful friend

We head down to the brook
I lie on the bank and pull out a book

My surrounding is serene,
Trees and nature are my only scene

As the turtle doves chirp together
I think of the loyalty they have for each other

The water makes soothing chime sounds
As the breeze pushes it, making muddy ground

I sink my bare feet in the muddy sand
My book is still filling my hands

A smile now rests on my face
Replaying a memory of my secret place
