Old Red Barn

Down on the farm set an old
red barn

Old Red stood tall for many years
He saw a lot of sweat and many shed tears

it was full of hay
and tools on display

where the chickens and cows and the horses would stay

that’s why old red sat back from the house a ways

where kids did their chores but they thought it was play
So that’s where they lingered most summer days

old red has weathered many a storm
He leans a little now he’s looking quite worn

The Red barn was a simple thing of the past
seems like the good things in life just don’t last
