My Front Porch Swing

Nature

The view from my front porch swing
It is a soul-soothing thing

In the ballet, the hummingbirds dance
Their flapping wings put me in a trance

it is hard to look away
when the squirrels are at play

I watch the turtles slowly walking
black crows above them, constantly talking

As if they are turtle stalking

The trees start to sway
as the winds blow, their way

The gentle breeze causes me to relax
my porch swing moves forward and back

It doesn’t take much imagination
to find my happiness
from my porch swing station

Try it sometime, it’s the best kind of vacation
