Memory
Some days, the memories flow
On other days, no thoughts will show
The mind is such an incredible thing, and yet it can be so fragile
The edges of clarity it can bring, then shadows invade for a while
The days and weeks fly hurriedly by
Happy days that turn into sighs
I will write while I remember
Things I’ll forget come November
dance while you can with friends you know
Before tomorrow’s forgotten and they go
A day will arrive when the mind will hold
Every memory made embedded in bold
One day soon, the mind will find relief
From Disease that caused you so much grief
Life’s dance races to its end
You had your losses and wins
Memories vivid as a flower held inside
so quickly made, but now a slower ride
I will not forget you, my dear friends
When my mind is clear, a new life begins
