Life Smiles Back

There are few days when life smiles back

Not too many, so maybe you should keep track

Every once in a while, when you least expect it

A pair of cooing doves, or babies laughter is sent

Most days are full of anguish that’s unexpected

We just adapt move on not easily affected

If you can find a day when life smiles back

Look your fill and use it so you can stay intact

You never know the form it will take

Until you spy it and a memory it makes

You’ll feel the corners of your mouth turn up

From the feeling buried in your heart that now erupts

You flash a full-fledged smile it now shows

Now  life smiles back at someone you know
