Intermission

I am settled in my heart
Years of stops and starts

Dogs and cats and children all
Life was full, I do recall

School days
Childhood plays

Summer vacations
With three at my station

Daddy always there
Laughter filled the air

Days I fondly remember
Now, In my elderly September

I close my eyes and smile
We lived life with a simple style

Our daughters are now long gone
Replaced with Grandchildren’s song

A slower pace of life
Our bodies carry the strife

Forward, we steadily now go
The last act of the final show
