I Will Weather the Storm

what does it mean to weather a storm
Terrible elements happen out of the norm

Where do you seek guidance from
Support from family, will it come

Some days, the seas of life are rough
Grab onto the oars row and be tough

One day soon, all seas will be calm and tranquil

Don’t worry about the winds ahead. Just be thankful

Calm, sunny days are just up ahead
You can weather the storm with no dread

More turbulent times up ahead
Days you struggle out of bead

Count the hours as they pass
Make sure each minute last

Smiles and young children giggles
Small bodies on laps will wiggle

Rough storms always bring a rainbow
Sunshine will add to its iridescent glow

So, weather the storm up ahead
Face the day with courage, not dread

Soon, dark skies will be clear, cornflower blue
When youth is restored by God’s son, it’s true
