Two little boys and a grandpa recall
Running by the river on a chilly day in fall
Skipping rocks and running at the edge of the river
As grandpa sits on a log nearby feeling a little shiver
The sound of boys laughter is heard to fill the air
No time is measured in their play they have not a care
Sitting on an ancient log they talk and discover
cousins often disagree but have much to give each other
A lazy day with no time restraints they can play till tired
Grandpa’s day could be no better sitting by the fire
It ends with two sleepy little boys dreaming of who knows
Every grandpa should pick a day And watch their grandsons grow
