Flying High

The Monarch 

The king of all the Butterflies 

The Monarchs prominent but also wise

Instinctively she plays her part

Up to 4 inches long and a work of art

The Monarch will begin to embark

Orange and black flapping sparks

Traveling Thousands of miles in the sky

Orange and Black will catch your eye

Flying high without a care

Down to Mexico to winter, there

She’ll lay eggs in the milkweeds, and they’ll start growing 

It’s is how she keeps her generation going

Our gift, the Monarch Butterfly
