First Chill of Fall
The first chill of Fall
The wind shifted today and brightened my mood
Summers out the back door, ushering new moons
I like the first chill of autumn; It heals my inward
Pains
Brought on by old age, it passes by like an old freight train
I watched the Animal Antics as they played from tree to tree
I quietly sip my morning cup of coffee, as content as possible.
Watching leaves blowing in the gentle wind
Slowly Ushering out summer, letting Fall waltz in
The air holds a chill, so I pull out my sweater
Nothing I can think of that would be any better
Then, to enjoy the changing season and first chill
Of Fall
It will hurry by too fast and will be missed by all
