Walking down a Dusty country Road
on a Windy day trying to-lighten my load
my heart seems extra heavy today
I have many thoughts, but I just can’t say
what exactly is troubling me
so many emotions I can’t let them be
it’s hard to share what’s in your head
I always regret it when everything’s said
so I’ll keep it all locked safe inside
until I’m ready in a friend to confide
the wind picks up and I quicken my pace
my feet naturally walk to my secret place
the old apple orchard up ahead
I’ll go sit for a while and clear my head
walking back home up a Dusty country road
I’m feeling much better seemed to lighten my load
