Dirty Little Boys

Little boys playing in the dirt

The kind of germs that never hurt

Mud pies, sticks, and rocks piled high

Making mom a dirt surprise

Little bits of imagination

While mom cooked meals at her station

Boys played in dirt happily

No fights happened between the three

Childhood memories of days gone by

It stirs up in me a happy cry

Dirt and little boys go hand in hand

With bare feet buried in the sand

Mom’s let your little ones play in the dirt

It’s fun for them, and I promise it won’t hurt
