Daddy played the fiddle
Children happily dancing in the middle
Round and round we would go
As daddy played, he tapped his toes
Cowboy boots would scoot
To daddy’s rooty toot toot
Saturday night affair
Daddy’s music filled the air
Happy voices would rise
Above baby brothers cries
A smile rested on a mamas face
Relaxing from her daily race
Raising children and cooking meals
Mama did it with such zeal
When evening came around
Time for daddy’s fiddle sound
Daddy’s fiddle helped Mamas’s heart heal
I can hear daddy’s fiddle playing still
