Country Cousins

We were cousins all together we liked to Make mud cakes
Sisters Marilyn and Robin, myself and our cousins Jody and Jake

We loved playing together on the top of our big hill
Content to sit and talk and play sometimes we just sat still

I was looking at a picture my mom had taken while we played
Our little hands were all folded together in the sweetest little way

I think Jody was excited the most to play together with us
She followed Marilyn and I followed Jody we rarely ever fussed

Robin and Jake always made the mud cakes
The rest of us looked for the rocks to add to bake

Cousins playing together not causing our moms any trouble
But when they called our names to come in we did so on the double

We made our entertainment together
We always knew we were cousins forever
