Wounded

Your provoking
My hearts choking

I will take it
Until you quit

A stepping stone
For my heart alone

Every time you erupt
My path, you disrupt

You keep provoking
Embers your stoking

When your fire goes out
It is my turn to shout

But, I will not provoke you
Listening to you Is the clue

I will not choke your heart
Belittle you or break you apart

Only you
control what you do

So I’ll hold you
Shape you mold you

One day you’ll be right
Until then, we will fight
