Three Little Words

Even children find it hard to say these words
Maybe from fear, their voice won’t be heard

But just three little words like “I Love You”
Tells me what I need to know about you

The fact that those words were hard for you to say
Shows me that something had gotten in our way

Let’s figure it out so that maybe someday
You can say it out loud and it’ll feel okay

   Children without voices
   Is like life without choices

Children need to be heard when
They say those three little words

     Mom “I love You!”
