Springs Near

Every Year this Robin comes to our place and makes her nest on the ledge

Above the mailbox

WAKE UP TO SPRING

If no calendars existed to keep track of the seasons

I would know spring was arriving because Robins would be singing

Busy building a nest from dried grass upon the ground

Working hard as they work together going round and round

Back and forth working hard on their nest

Trying hard to grass and mud it, Making it the best

When Spring is here I can always tell

Because the Robin family did so very well

When they are done at the end of the day

The Robins appearance shows spring is on its way

I watch the Robins every year

Because I know sweet Spring is here
