I hear the leaves rustling moving along the ground
I close my eyes and listen to their soothing sound
A dog in the background is barking
no doubt a cat he’s anxiously stalking
listen, the sounds of life Are there if you take the time
It won’t erase pain but gives you peace of mind
The squirrel is so busy saving food for another day
Instinctively they do this, in a fascinating hurried way
I don’t know what they are saying, but the bird talk is sedating
The songs they sing with no words genuinely are amazing
Don’t let the day pass before
All the sounds you hear no more
Open your eyes wide and see
Natures designed as it should be
Ears that hear life will find relief
Helps to cope with sadness and grief
Days move quickly so, take it in the sounds
Nature around always there, waiting to be found
