Photograph Lane

Days roll by
no times for hi’s

youth is blinding
no wrinkles binding

no limits on days
just hours we play

youth on our side
doors open wide

running carefree
so much to see

laughter and tears
passing of years

as it winds down
wishes not found

memories unwrap
photos fall to my lap

my tears trickle down
my voice lost its sound

I muster a smile
at the photograph mile

A smile crosses my face
Because I’m still in the race
