OH Deer

White-tailed Deer fawns are born April through mid-July

with the majority of fawns born in June, I’m not sure why

Until they are strong enough to keep up with their mama deers

deer fawns are left alone while their mothers often go veer

Off for a while to look for food to bring to the table

So leaving the baby for a while is the only way she’s able

Mother deer sometimes will stay away leaving at early dawn

They do this to avoid leading predators to their young fawn

They are born with their eyes open and fully covered in fur

They’re a beauty to behold by anyone for sure

Being able to observe deer and enjoy their incredible design

Are innocence and wonderment you’ll be sure to find

An unforgettable experience and privilege to enjoy

All to our Grand Creator who deserves all the glory
