Natures Highway

Natures byways
not cement highways

Its flowering plants
marching army ants

squirrels racing
playing, chasing

mocking birds talking
slow turtles walking

ducklings following in a row
follow mama where she goes

Owls that hoot in the night
searching eyes flashing bright

trees branches swaying
natures symphony playing

natures highway
You are my way

While others choose their roads,
it is nature’s highway my day holds
