Mother you Made Memories

As the years passed along
I always questioned where I belonged

life’s experiences seemed so hard
they were mostly good, but some left scars

looking at old pictures now
I’m blown away just by how

you snapped away and memories made
You told us to sit still and we obeyed

Looking back on years gone by
Mostly happy tears I cry

so many babies throughout the years
you must’ve experienced some really big fears

you snapped our lives through the camera lens
You took time out for us way back when

eyes in the photographs looking back at me
Have helped me heal and helped me to see

Yes there was a sadness I would have to say
But I’ve concluded on this day

You gave me the best life you could back then
looking back now I long for those days again
