Missing Mama

Sweet mama, I miss you
and I wish you

could have stayed around
To hear all your favorite sounds

you loved it when the birds would sing
you appreciate the beauty they would bring

we will share stories again one day
I can’t wait to hear you say

daughter, you told me
How the paradise would be
the flowers, animals, and the people you see

so many old and new friends to make
you’ll learn beautiful truths when you awake

mother, I miss you
can’t wait to kiss you

and tell you I love you
When all things are new
