Last Dance

Sitting, watching the last dance
Lovers once young, but now old and grey
still entranced

The music changes quickly now
The dancing turns to art somehow

Closed eyes let the pages turn
The heart loves and yet it
burns

We knew all the steps so well
How could we ever fail

The music Beacons me onto the floor
Hurry before it’s time to head through life’s
Door

Remember the fun we once had
Things are never spoken, too Sad

Don’t let regrets take that last waltz away
Life’s dance moves so fast you can miss it, so stay

When that last song is sung for the night
Dance to your heart’s delight

Share the dance with others around
Then exit quietly, not making a sound
