General Tom Tom Meow

General tom-tom meow was a one-eyed cat

 that didn’t keep him from trying to catch rats 

he saved up some cheese 

to lure and to tease 

Ms. J. Marie rat, who wore a pink hat 

She only adorned it to tease Tom the cat

But her plan didn’t work 

Tom Tomcat was no jerk 

No fancy pink hat 

was going to tempt this cat

When the wind came up high 

J. Marie’s pink hat went flying by

It landed in Tomcats only good eye

So  away General Tom Tom ran 

Giving up his great plan

General  Tom Tom meow 

said it’s goodbye for now 

But dear Janice Marie don’t give up on me

I’ll be back another day when I can see
