Freight Train

There’s a haunting sound of the train on the tracks
Always rolling down the line Then races right back

That Chug a chug a sound
rolling on thin metal shaking the ground

the train car is loaded down with the grain
causing the echoing of that sad refrain

The whistle blows as she goes rolling along
shattering the silence in the nearby homes

the train keeps rushing, but never flies
Never anytime time for a proper goodbyes

When her whistle screams into the night
it always causes an unexpected fright

As you Move on a big train, I see you out my windowpane
I always stop and watch each time as you pass by my lane
