Fall Arrives

The stars are shining bright
A soft glow of the moon
cast shadows into the night

summer reaches its end
the fall is ready to begin

falls my favorite time of year
I always stop and stare

at the foliage falling all around
burning red and gold leaves on the ground

The air is crisp and clean
I take it in From my front porch swing

I can barely say hi
before fall passes me by

now I quietly sit to see what winter brings
