ELLIE

Ellie elephant was the little boys’ friend
He thought he would keep her to life’s end

A stuffed animal only has so many days
We’re made to live forever but stuffed animals get thrown away

We’ve sown her many rips and tears
she’s loved little James throughout the years

They’ve slept together for the past 6 years now
Ellie’s still together, but we don’t see how

She was a cute green prize that was won at the fair
His mom picked her out passing over a cute brown bear

The little green elephant stood out above all others
Perhaps it was just the instinct of a loving mother

James Ellie

Ellie’s days are numbered, and her times about over
She’ll someday be put away by the little boy who loved her
