Hillside Walk

in the country down a dusty road

on a Hillside, there’s a little abode

standing back from the big old oak

the one loved by so many countryfolks

it takes a country girl to love

The simple song of the Morning Dove

the smell of hyacinth in the air

 Always evaporates the daily cares

life’s simple pleasures

are hidden hillside treasures

a fish to catch in the pond by the glen

as you sing a song from way back when

sister stops on the hillside porch a while

swapping stories that’s sure to make you smile

just follow the dusty road by the brook

to get your private hillside look
