Down a Dusty Road

In the countryside, down a dusty road
On a Winding hillside, there’s a little abode

Standing back from the big old oak
The one so loved by all country folk

The simple song of a morning dove

The smell of hyacinth in the air
Evaporates the daily cares

Life’s simple pleasures
Are hidden hillside treasures

A fish to catch in the pond by the glen
As you sing a song from way back when

Sister stops on my hillside porch for awhile
swapping favorite stories sure to make me smile

Just follow the dusty road by the brook
To get a view of my hillside, look
