Don’t Touch

Don’t take what doesn’t belong to you
A piece of gum or fancy shoes

Resist the urge to pick that flower
If it’s in another’s yard, it’s in his tower

Hands should stay in your own pockets
Not on Miss Smiths fancy locket

Words of wisdom my mother shared
Just because she really cared

You expect the same from others
So, take the advice from your mother

If it’s not yours, don’t touch or take
You don’t want other things to break

Parents teach children boundaries are good
When they grow up, they’ll act as they should
