A fisherman needs patience and he needs a good lure
Sitting on the creek bank can sometimes be the cure
My daddy liked to fish and sometimes he would say
What do you think mama? Are the fish biting today
I could dig up a few worms, just take a minute to grab my poles
Last week I found myself a really good fishing hole
Go on daddy I got rolls I need to bake
And while I have the oven on I might just bake a cake
So on daddy went down the hilly dusty road
On his way to catch some fish and lighten-up his load
I think Dady just liked the solitude
Fishing always seemed to improve his mood
Children running up and down the creek bank
It didn’t bother daddy this is where he could think
A daddy likes his weekly fishing
It’s where he dreams and does his wishing
Mama doesn’t mind she would rather stay and cook
When the house was quiet she would pull out her favorite book
My mama said she did all her wishing
While daddy took off to do his fishing
Hello all, here every person is sharing such know-how,
so it’s pleasant to read this website, aand I used to go to see
this website daily.
Absolutely true. I can still hear my dad saying to mom “I bet the crappie are up in the tree today.” ( During the season lake levels would rise) And off he would go. My dad was known for his fishing skills. Hour after hour. The family, when we would see someone we hadn’t seen for a while, the conversation always go to ” Remember Bitsy caughting those fish.”
