Country Pan Bath

The country bath happened in an old dishpan

On a table in the kitchen, a towel laid close at hand

Just a young lad no worse for the wear

He didn’t look like he minded or cared

He was just one of many that day

That would bathe in the pan then exit to play

While The next little boy would take his place

To get the plum jelly washed off his face

Mamas work was never done

But for the kiddos, it was a little fun

Bath time was after dinner just before Bedtime

So when they hit the sheets, Her little men would shine

Bath time was different in those Country days

I’m glad mom snapped a photo of her Bath Pan way
