Bird Watching

There’s not a more beautiful sight in the soft blue sky

Then a flock of birds as they fly way up high

A tiny life with two small sturdy wings

Who-can put in words the happiness watching birds brings

So many colors you could pick from the crayon box

On a daily routine, more precise than any clocks

No work of art can fully paint or enhance them

It’s God’s handiwork giving such pleasure exclusively to man

There continued bird songs can fill up the air

Lay back and listen to their operatic song, diminish your cares

I have my favorite birds to view, and maybe you do too

Watching them can always lift me when I’m feeling blue

So, find a chair, get comfortable, you won’t have long to wait

Whether in the sky or a tree up high or on a post by the garden gate

Don’t put it off you won’t be sorry, that you made a birdwatching date
